Meet Jim Kenny
A fan of Americana, Jim can be found exploring underappreciated towns and destinations in his spare time.
Jim focuses his counsel on growth enterprises. Regardless if it is a 115-year old professional services firm, start-up business or longstanding institution, Jim counsels clients on how to engage new audiences, introduce services, cultivate distinct positions, and generate demand for offerings.
Active civically, Jim serves as board member and marketing chair for Prayers From Maria Children’s Glioma Cancer Foundation and as vice chair of the Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland. He recently completed a 16-year board tenure with the Women’s Recovery Center, where he served as vice president and led the development of two strategic plans, a rebranding effort, and its first capital campaign.
Before teaming with Roop & Co. in 2004, Jim served as vice president and a media relations team leader at Dix & Eaton and as director of communications at The Hackett Group (HCKT). He holds an MBA in strategic planning from University of New Mexico and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kent State University.
