Ed Stevens Unanimously Granted Emeritus Member Status of PRGN

On March 9, 2022, Roopco’s Chairman Emeritus Ed Stevens was unanimously granted emeritus membership status for the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN), a group of 52 select independent PR agencies around the world. As leaders in their respective regions, PRGN member agencies offer the “boots-on-the-ground” savvy of a local PR agency on an international scale.

A founding member of PRGN since 1992, Stevens has served the network tremendously over the years and will remain close to the network as an emeritus member. In this role, he will continue to offer his PR industry expertise to PRGN member agencies as well as support marketing initiatives.

“I am grateful that I am granted this status by the PRGN board. It is a special honor and the PRGN network is like family,” said Stevens. “I have watched this network grow and evolve over the years, as it has showcased the power of a global network for companies such as Domino’s and Eriez. Through PRGN, I have met public relations thought leaders who have made a great impact on the PR profession.”

Since the early days of PRGN, Stevens has played a vital role in the evolution of the network throughout his career with SSC and, most recently, Roopco. In May 2021, SSC was acquired by Roopco. This merger boosted Roopco’s scope and size by more than 30% and brought decades of experience in public relations, advertising and crisis consulting to Roop. It was an easy decision for Roopco to become a member of PRGN.

“PRGN showcases the power of its network. We help each other solve business problems, provide leads for business, offer expertise in hands on support as well as share best practices,” added Stevens. “But, to me, PRGN is more than just a public relations network—agency owners view one other as friends. PRGN really has been a highlight of my life, and I plan to stay as active as I can be.”
