Roop & Co. is ringing in the New Year with a new team member. Jacqueline Gedeon has joined the public relations firm as an assistant account executive. Her experience and responsibilities include public and media relations, content creation, internal communications and video production.
Gedeon began her career in Montana, where she most recently served as a communications specialist for the U.S. Geological Survey. In this position, she regularly developed content for a variety of communications, including the website, blog posts, press releases, newsletters and fact sheets.
Before joining the U.S. Geological Survey, Gedeon was a news reporter, anchor and producer for an NBC affiliate, where she was responsible for writing, shooting, editing and presenting the news for 45% of all Montanans. Prior to moving west, she interned at two Toledo news stations: WTOL and 13abc.
A Cleveland native, Gedeon is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in Spanish. During her time in college, Gedeon served as Alumnae Relations Chair on the Alpha Chi Omega executive board. This involved writing, designing and delegating the sorority’s bi-annual newsletter, as well as planning the homecoming and philanthropy events.
