Roopco President Brad Kostka Awarded PRSA Lighthouse Award

Roopco President Brad Kostka today received the esteemed Lighthouse Award from the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Presented annually, this award recognizes the career accomplishments and community service of seasoned public relations professionals who are PRSA members.

“It’s an honor and privilege to be recognized with the Lighthouse Award by my peers at PRSA Cleveland. I credit this accomplishment to all the wisdom and knowledge I’ve gained over the course of my 25-year career in the PR industry from great bosses, mentors, colleagues, clients and—of course—the school of hard knocks,” said Kostka.

For nearly three decades, Kostka has provided strategic communication counsel to organizations ranging from global, publicly traded corporations to local startups. The vast majority of his career has been spent with Roopco, where he started out as an assistant account executive and eventually worked his way up the ladder to his current role as president in 2019.

“I’m passionate about the good work we do for our clients and the community. It’s been incredibly rewarding to contribute to an exciting industry that is constantly growing and evolving,” added Kostka. “As an avid hockey fan, I often consider the advice that hall-of-famer Wayne Gretzky received from his father: ‘Go where the puck is going, not where it has been.’ In the business of PR, it’s a reminder to not only deliver on our clients’ immediate needs, but to also help them identify new opportunities. I look forward to the strategic and creative ideas that our team will continue to deliver in the years ahead.”
