Social Media Strategy Builds Brand Loyalty and Increases Engagement

Hofbräuhaus Cleveland

Challenge:

Located in the heart of downtown, Hofbräuhaus Cleveland is a German microbrewery, bierhall and restaurant that is modeled after the legendary 400-year-old Hofbräuhaus in Germany. In order to boost its online presence, Hofbräuhaus Cleveland sought to develop a social media marketing strategy that would promote its authentic German fare, live music and events, showcase its unique experience, and attract more customers to the restaurant.

Solution:

Hofbräuhaus Cleveland enlisted Roop & Co. to develop and manage a social media marketing program for its Facebook and Instagram platforms. Roop & Co. began by working with the restaurant in order to set measurable objectives, identify target audiences and craft key messages. As a next step, Roop & Co. built out a robust social media marketing strategy that featured a playful, tongue-in-cheek brand voice and targeted the restaurant’s niche audiences—from beer lovers and die-hard Clevelanders, to people of Eastern European heritage. In order to increase followers and boost engagement, Roop & Co. regularly incorporated user-generated content and engaging posts that encouraged followers to tag the restaurant in their own photos.
